Custom Information Services – IT Provider for SMBs since 1989

The Foundation:

Founded over 35 years ago, Custom Information Services (CIS) began with a straightforward mission: to bridge the gap between complex technology and real-world business objectives. At a time when IT was often treated as an afterthought or a reactive troubleshooting service, CIS was built on the principle that technology should be an active driver of efficiency, growth, and long-term profitability.

By pairing proactive infrastructure management with enterprise resource planning (ERP), CIS established itself early on as a trusted advisor for small and mid-market organizations seeking operational clarity.

Strategic Expansion & The Reporting-Central Acquisition:

As business technologies evolved from localized on-premise servers to cloud infrastructure, integrated Microsoft Dynamics ERP platforms, and advanced cyber defenses, CIS continuously expanded its scope through organic growth and targeted strategic acquisitions.

A strategic move in this direction was the acquisition of Reporting-Central ww.reporting-central.com. Known in the well global MS Dynamics ERP community and channel as “The Closer Guys,” Reporting-Central brought a suite of simple use and high-impact ISV (Independent Software Vendor) tools designed to resolve some of the most critical reconciliation, data integrity, and distribution challenges in Microsoft Dynamics GP.

This acquisition expanded CIS’s reach from a strong regional technology and ERP partner to a global solution provider with client in over 12 countries while strengthening CIS’s ERP implementation and delivery capabilities. Reporting-Central’s key Dynamics GP add-on tools are:

• The Closer: An automated reconciliation solution that bridges sub-ledgers directly to the General Ledger. By removing tedious manual month-end processes and eliminating trial balance discrepancies, The Closer became an essential utility for international financial teams requiring absolute data integrity and fast, audit-ready closes.

• The Corrector: A specialized utility that enables finance teams to quickly and accurately correct General Ledger distribution errors across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and Purchasing—eliminating cryptic re-class journal entries while preserving a clean, transparent audit trail.
These solutions established CIS as a premier global authority in data integrity and financial operations within the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem.

The trajectory of CIS is guided by an executive leadership team combining decades of operational experience, technical innovation, and strategic ERP depth.
